Potential Health Benefits:

Oregon Grape Root

May be helpful as a liver tonic with an affinity for skin conditions such as acne. May provide a powerful detoxifying and skin cleansing effect. Naturopathic doctors and herbalists agree that this may be an exceptional herb for treating acne internally.

Rooibos

May be helpful as it is packed full of antioxidants that may help prevent free radical damage and acne caused by environmental stressors. May also come bearing zinc, a mineral that may correct acne-triggering hormonal imbalances.

Lemongrass

May be helpful due to its rich antioxidants, antiseptic, and astringent properties, which may boost skin health by strengthening the skin tissue.

Lemon Rind

May help prevent and fight acne, pigmentation, and dark spots. The rich antioxidants in lemon rind may play a crucial role in detoxifying the skin from the inside out.

Black Tea

May be helpful as it contains catechins and flavonoids that may protect the skin against acne-induced damage. Black tea may also kill bacteria and contribute to improving gut health.

Clove

May be helpful with its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, which may kill acne-causing bacteria and keep breakouts at bay. Clove oil, containing eugenol, may assist in treating acne by reducing inflammation and redness.

Cinnamon

May be helpful when added to a tincture as it may help kill bacteria contributing to inflamed pores. Cinnamon may be effective against the Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) bacteria found in most red and inflamed pimples.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Herbal Tincture?

Tinctures are concentrated herbal extracts made by soaking the bark, berries, leaves (dried or fresh), plants, mushrooms, flowers, cones, or roots from one or more plants in alcohol. The alcohol extracts the medicinal properties, concentrating them as a liquid.

Is an herbal tincture, capsule, or powder stronger?

Tinctures are stronger because they are more concentrated and bypass digestion by going directly into the bloodstream.

Can I take multiple tinctures at a time?

Yes, however, you will want to research if the plants work together or against each other. A simple Google search will tell you.

How do I remove the alcohol if I am alcohol sensitive?

Kingdom Come Home tinctures can be dropped into boiling tea. This will evaporate the alcohol leaving just the medicinal properties behind.
