Organic Hyssop

Hyssop has been used medicinally since Biblical times. It is excellent for digestive and intestinal problems including liver and gallbladder conditions, intestinal pain, intestinal gas, colic, and loss of appetite. It is also used for respiratory problems including coughs, the common cold, respiratory infections, sore throat, and asthma.

Organic Lavender

Lavender has been used since Biblical times, when a pound of flowers was worth a farmer’s wages for a month. There are many health benefits of lavender. When ingested it helps to treat sleeplessness, queasiness and headache, as well as digestive concerns including loss of appetite and nausea.

Raw Honey Benefits:

Great For Your Heart

Honey is a great source of antioxidants and these are known for reducing inflammation in the body. One organ that benefits from this is your heart. Generally, if you have a diet that’s high in antioxidants, you’re less likely to develop heart disease.

Soothes Your Stomach

Studies suggest that honey can help to ease gastrointestinal issues like an upset stomach and diarrhea. If you’re already having diarrhea, honey can sometimes help to rehydrate you.

Eases Your Cough

This one might not be surprising but honey has been known to help with coughs. Not only does it soothe an irritated throat, but it can also reduce coughing overall.

* Honey is an excellent cough suppressant for adults and children although it should never be used for children under one year of age.

Helps With Depression

According to recent studies, honey can have some anti-depressant and anti-anxiety properties. That means just a tablespoon of honey can greatly improve your mood.

Boosts Your Immune System

The combination of its antimicrobial properties and antioxidant content suggests that honey can boost your immune system. Experts recommend having honey daily to help.

Helps With Weight Management

Though more research needs to be done, there’s some evidence that honey can help with maintaining a healthy weight. It might increase your overall metabolism and if you have a little honey with warm water, it might help you to feel full.

Helps You Sleep Well

If you need a good night’s sleep, having a tablespoon of honey before bed might be the way to go. You can have it by yourself or in a cup of tea.

Improve Your Memory

As mentioned previously, honey can be good

for your cognitive function and memory.

Eases Sinus Problems

This benefit is related to honey’s antimicrobial properties. If your sinuses are clogged because of an infection, it’s possible that honey can help to relieve the pressure.

Help Maintain Healthy Gums

Once again, honey’s antimicrobial properties come to the rescue. A few studies suggest that having honey regularly can reduce your likelihood of developing gum disease.

What is raw honey?

The difference between raw honey and regular honey is that in addition to being pure, “raw” honey has not been heated or filtered. Never heating and never filtering is the best way to preserve the natural minerals, vitamins, and enzymes found in raw honey as it exists in the beehive. Our raw honey has never been heated or filtered.

*Never heated: when honey is heated above the average maximum temperature of a typical beehive (95 degrees Fahrenheit), most of the natural enzymes of honey are destroyed. Therefore we choose to not heat our raw honey, unlike other raw honey producers.

*Never filtered: more than ¾ of honey that is sold is filtered (Liquid), in order to remove all the pollen and beeswax, mostly for cosmetic reasons, sometimes to hide the origin. We like our raw honey to be real, so we choose to keep these elements, especially because pollen contains many beneficial vitamins.

How should it be used?

Add it to your tea, coffee, lemonade, oatmeal, ice cream, yogurt, to make salad dressing or marinades...pretty much everything and anything you want to taste amazing.

Why is my honey a different color than last time? 🐝

Honey gets its color from the pollen that a hive gathers to make it. Because plants blossom at different times of the year and bees collect honey nearly year-round, a single hive can produce radically different colors of honey from season to season.

*Stir each time to mix the flowery goodness
