Other skin-soothing ingredients in this formula are Chaga Mushroom and Vitamin E.
Chaga Mushroom
Chaga is known as one of the highest natural melanin sources in the world. It is mostly contained in the sclerotium, the dark, almost black outer layer of Chaga. Melanin has high antioxidant levels due to the number of polyphenols it contains, which can help to protect your skin cells from the damaging effects of free radical and sun damage.
By neutralizing free radicals, antioxidants like those found in chaga can help to keep your skin looking youthful and healthy.
Vitamin E
When vitamin E is applied to the skin, it provides extra protection against acute UVB damage and protects against cell mutation caused by sun and pollution exposure.
In addition, vitamin E works great as an after sun to treat sunburns. Being an antioxidant, it will help fight free radicals caused by ultraviolet radiation, ultimately soothing sunburns.
